MPESB Recruitment 2026: The application date for the Direct Recruitment Examination 2026 for the posts of Forest Guard and Field Guard (Executive) under MP Forest Department and Jail Guard and Assistant Jail Superintendent (Executive) under Jail Department has been extended till 30th April.
The Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) has extended the last date for applying for the Forest Guard and Jail Guard recruitment. Those eligible for this recruitment, who for some reason missed filling the form within the stipulated dates, can now fill the form online within the extended dates. The application form can be filled online by visiting the MPESB official website esb.mp.gov.in or by clicking on the direct link provided on this page.
- The online application process begins on February 28, 2026.
- The deadline for submitting the application form is April 30, 2026.
- The deadline for making changes to the form is April 30, 2026.
Recruitment Qualifications and Criteria
- Applicants must have passed 10th grade from a recognized board to apply for the Forest Guard, Field Guard, and Jail Guard positions.
- A graduate degree from a recognized university is mandatory to apply for the Jail Superintendent position.
- To participate in the recruitment process, the minimum age of a candidate must be 18/21 years, depending on the position, and the maximum age must not exceed 33 years. However, reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the rules.

Application Fee
- General, OBC, and EWS candidates must submit a fee of ₹500 along with their application. SC/ST candidates must submit a fee of ₹250.

Recruitment Details
- A total of 1,679 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. Of these, 728 positions are reserved for Forest Guards, 169 for Field Guards, 757 for Jail Guards, and 25 for Jail Superintendents.
