There’s good news for young people dreaming of a government job in the railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the recruitment for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) positions by issuing a short notification. According to the notice, the online application process for this recruitment will begin on May 15th next month and will continue until June 14, 2026. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form online on the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.
Eligibility for Assistant Loco Pilot Posts:
- To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have passed 10th grade with an ITI from a recognized board/institute, or must have completed 10th grade with a diploma in engineering. Candidates with an engineering degree are also eligible to apply.
- Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and at least 30 years of age. Age relaxation will be 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SC/STs. Other reserved categories and veterans will also be eligible for age relaxation as per the rules.
How will the selection process be conducted:
To be selected for the vacant posts of Assistant Loco Pilot, candidates will have to go through CBT 1, CBT 2, Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME).
Application Process and Fees:
To participate in this recruitment, candidates can fill out the form online only. Offline or any other form will not be accepted. The prescribed fee must be submitted along with the form. Forms without the fee will be considered incomplete and rejected. Candidates from all other categories will be required to deposit ₹500 along with the application form, while SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Transgender/EBC candidates will have to pay ₹250.
