There’s good news for young people preparing for government jobs in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Employment News has announced the recruitment of SSB Constable and Head Constable vacancies in 2026. According to the notification, the application process for these positions will begin on March 21st and will continue until the deadline of April 20, 2026.
SSB Constable and Head Constable Recruitment 2026 Details
- According to the notification, the SSB will fill a total of 1,060 vacant posts through this recruitment drive. Of these, 233 posts are reserved for Head Constables and 827 for Constables.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for SSB Constable positions, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board with a driving license (HVM) or a 10th-grade degree in the relevant trade/trade.
- Furthermore, for Head Constable positions, candidates must have completed the 10th standard with an ITI or a 12th-grade degree with a diploma in the relevant field.
- To fill out the recruitment form, candidates must be at least 18 years of age and at least 25 or 27 years of age, depending on the position.
- Candidates from reserved categories will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Application Process and Fees
- To participate in this recruitment drive, candidates can fill out the form online by visiting the SSB’s official website, which opens on March 21st. Applications through any other means will not be accepted.
- Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will be required to pay a fee of ₹100 upon filling out the form. SC/ST candidates can fill out the form for free.
How will the selection be conducted?
- To be selected for this recruitment, candidates will have to appear for a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Examination, Skill Test/Typing Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
